Bailey expands its choice of motorhomes with new entry-level approach advance range

Image for Bailey expands its choice of motorhomes with new entry-level approach advance range

Bailey of Bristol is delighted to introduce a new Approach Advance entry-level coachbuilt motorhome range offering the same winning combination of superior performance and design as its award-winning, higher specification Approach Autograph range, but with even better value for money. A narrower 2.35 m body width (almost the same width as the cab) and maximum weights of 3,500 kg, also make the new Approach Advance range easy to drive by anyone with a full UK driving licence, without needing B+E entitlement.

Since launching its first motorhomes in 2011, the Bailey Approach range has quickly become one of the most popular in the UK. The new Approach Advance range now expands the choice of Bailey motorhomes to the entry-level sector while still offering the unique Approach features, such as the patented Bailey Alu-Tech construction system for better protection from the elements with its stronger, lighter bodyshell and GRP outer skin, an ultra-low profile AL-KO AMC chassis for better driving characteristics and lower entry step, plus superior safety for all occupants as a result of its industry-leading, crash-test simulation programme at the world renowned Millbrook Proving Ground.

Performance is still provided by the Peugeot Boxer 2.2 Hdi, 130 bhp, Euro 5 engine with a six-speed manual gearbox, with Advance models distinguished by the new-look cab in Bianco White with colour-coded bumpers. Its standard specification includes: ABS braking, premium Michelin branded tyres, driver airbag, and fully adjustable upholstered driver and passenger seats with twin arm rests plus Peugeot’s three year/100,000 mile warranty.

The ultra-low profile AL-KO AMC chassis, unique to this market sector, improves road holding thanks to its lower centre of gravity, and also provides a lower entry step. It is prepared for towbar fitment and has a wind-down, spare wheel carrier (and spare wheel).

Approach Advance owners will be able to enjoy the freedom and adventure of a using a motorhome all year round as the thicker, fully laminated, GRP bodyshell panels of the Alu-Tech construction system have superior, grade III thermal insulation properties. For maximum protection against the elements, the Alu-Tech design has also minimised the number of potential ingress points, which together with timber-free panels limit any possible damage this could cause. Full details of the many unique benefits of the Bailey Alu-Tech construction system are available at www.baileyalu-tech.co.uk.

Bailey also offers unique safety levels for all its motorhomes thanks to the results of a crash-testing programme to ensure that all travel seats withstand the force of a head-on impact. As a result, Bailey motorhomes have the extra support of chassis outriggers to strengthened floors, stronger fittings for items such as ovens and fridges, plus steel-framed seat base supports for all designated travel seats and a steel-framed structural bulkhead to support rear-facing designated travel seats.

Inside, quality fixtures and fittings give the Approach Advance a more premium look and feel than usually seen in entry-level models. Its high specification includes: ‘Mendip Ash’ furniture; Italian design overhead locker doors with a dual-finish and push-button catches; low-level courtesy lighting; premium ‘Pimlico’ upholstery fabric; a Whale rapid heat hot water system and 4 kw blown air heating system; Thetford three-burner gas hob and Duplex anti-rattle combination oven and grill; 103 litre Dometic fridge (80 litre for 615 model); on-board, 90 litre fresh and waste water tanks; and a fully lined shower with the more powerful and efficient Ecocamel shower head that also uses less water.

All models have fixing points for an exterior ladder, roof rack and bike rack, and are also pre-wired for the fitting of a rear view camera, satellite dish or aerial to allow the vehicle to easily be tailored to suit individual customer requirements, while the keenly priced optional Premium Pack offers the added luxuries of cab air conditioning, a passenger air bag, a concertina windscreen blind, removable cab carpets and a DAB Radio with Bluetooth connectivity is bound to appeal to everybody.

The new Approach Advance range will be available in a choice of four contrasting layouts:-
